Christian Science Nurses
- Are part of the worldwide healing mission and ministry of The First Church of Christ, Scientist. The Manual of The Mother Church contains the core standard for the men and women who represent a spiritual and practical model of care.
- Are experienced Christian Scientists whose study of Christian Science, and proof of healing in their own lives have given them confidence in the Christian Science method of treatment through prayer.
- Are prepared to faithfully and consistently acknowledge God's presence and power and affirm the patient's spiritual perfection as God's likeness.
- Do not offer any form of medical treatment, such as diagnosis, drugs, or physical therapy.
- Accept as patients those who are depending on God for healing by applying the principles of Christian Science, as explained in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, and have engaged the services of a Christian Science practitioner for treatment through prayer.
Fees and payment are determined by individual Christian Science nurses and should be discussed prior to engaging their services.
