Christian Science Nurses
Becoming a Christian Science Nurse
- Requires a strong, deep commitment to putting the principles of Christian Science into practice. Membership in The Mother Church is a primary requirement. Christian Science Primary class instruction is also required to advertise in The Christian Science Journal.
- Involves developing Christian Science nursing skills, which may be accomplished in many different ways, including:
- experience in nursing family members;
- one-to-one training from an experienced Christian Science nurse;
- courses provided by Christian Science nursing organizations.
- May include a combination of some courses and some experience with facility or private-duty Christian Science nursing. How one proceeds is very individual.
- Involves, above all, turning to God in prayer for guidance at each step.
