About The Reading Room

Serving the Boston community for over 100 years, the Christian Science Reading Room at 194 Massachusetts Avenue in Boston continues to offer an environment that promotes spiritual growth and understanding.

The Reading Room offers Bibles, Bible study materials, writings by Mary Baker Eddy, Christian Science magazines, and musical CDs that bring a fresh, healing perspective to today's political, social, and economic issues. The Christian Science magazines, in multiple languages, provide examples of how people are applying ideas from both the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy to their daily lives—and experiencing healing, safety, freedom, security, and happiness.

Learn about the healing power of prayer in her most important and influential work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. This book and its teachings have made the practice of Christian Science healing available to the world since 1875.

Join your fellow spiritual seekers and thinkers in the Reading Room for weekly events, including LIVE spirituality.com Q&A chats, group readings of the "Sermon on the Mount" (from the book of Matthew, chapters 5-7), and Christian Science Bible Lesson reading groups. Events also offered in Spanish.
