Workshops and meetings available to branch churches and societies

Below are several workshops and meetings designed to enrich or support activities of branches of The Mother Church. You can join with other branches in co-sponsoring events. Or you may wish to invite them to attend an event you are sponsoring.

Branch meetings with the Christian Science Board of Directors

• At the invitation of branch churches and societies around the world, the Board of Directors has traveled to meet with members and friends who share a mutual love for Christian Science and The Mother Church. These meetings provide a forum for members and the Board to exchange questions, concerns, and ideas about the future and progress of the Movement.

Reading Room Workshops

• Is your Reading Room everything you think it could be? A Reading Room Workshop is available for branch churches to sponsor for their area churches. Two representatives from Christian Science Reading Room Activities at The Mother Church facilitate this 4-hour workshop that explores the Manual By-Law for Reading Rooms and the challenges and successes of fulfilling it today.

TMC Youth Spiritual Activist Summits

• These youth meetings offer an opportunity to discuss with friends personal and global issues from a spiritual perspective. They include lectures on a variety of topics chosen by young people and workshops on discovering an active sense of church and “proof of its utility” through the powerful Manual activities.

Sunday School Workshops

• Branches may invite TMC Youth to join with them in planning and hosting workshops. The content may be customized while remaining based on the Manual provision for Sunday School. In order for TMC Youth to be involved, a sufficiently large audience will need to be invited/expected. This often requires more than one branch to participate in the planning, presentation, and attendance at the workshop.
